Horse Hair Trims

Join us to learn together online about our horse culture as Indigenous peoples. Horses have not only offered companionship, a valuable partner in bison hunting, and a method of transportation, horses have also been a part of our material culture as Metis people. Horse hair piping is a trim used around the edges of moccasin vamps. Embroidery with bison, moose or horse hair is also an artform that we can continue to practice today. And finally, horse hair tassels can help adorn our creations. Learn each of these skills in this self paced, online class.
