Taanishi! Tawaw. Hello and welcome. We are excited to share this journey with you. Meeting My Ancestors is dedicated to helping Metis individuals, parents of Metis children, and professionals working with Indgenous people connect with the Metis culture through online programs, classes and resources.
We created this space for you, to help you reclaim your indigenous roots, to help you learn our indigenous arts and teachings…to help you meet your ancestors.

What Can Meeting My Ancestors Offer?
- We have gathered together amazing resources from many sources and organized them so you can find recipes, teachings, instructions, articles and other resources easily without having to spend months online searching.
- You have a family, a job, school and commitments. We know…we do to. For this reason, we have created digital resources that you wont need to drive to us to access, video classes that you can access anytime and anywhere, and groups to learn with from your own home or office. Gathering in person is so rewarding, but especially these days, we dont want you to be isolated from your culture due to health concerns, how far you live, or time taken away from your commitments.
- We can offer experienced teachers who have walked the same path, connecting with our culture, who know how badly you want connection to your roots, and how hard it can be to access elders, teachings and knowledge holders. We spent years searching also, and we want to help you connect without these barriers.
- We bring you a shame free, inclusive, and accepting environment where you can explore your culture without feeling out of place, awkward, or alone.
