Learn Our Language: Michif
Our languages hold so much importance for our culture. The words that make up Michif are not only a testimony to our roots, but also hold clues into the worldview and values of our nation.
Learning any new language can be difficult. It takes regular practice and a willingness to “sound silly” to your ears that are not yet atuned to our language. Today we are going to explore the resources and tools that you can use as you begin to learn our language. Some of these resources are online video and sound clips, some are written words, and some are suggestions for lessons to help you learn Michif.
Regardless of which resources you use, its important to practice daily and build on your emerging language skills gradually. Trying to gain too much too fast, will lead to you forgetting quickly.
