Métis parents have cared for their babies for generations with waspisona (moss bags). These parenting tools keep baby safe, secure, and supports their development within our traditions.
Join us as we sew heirloom moss bags. This cohort will use traditional materials and designs to construct moss bags fit for passing down for generations.
This online arts intensive will take place over 4 months (every second week on Zoom) starting March 2025.
This program includes the following materials kit;
- Wool or melton fabric
- Cotton liner with heritage prints
- Size 13 seed beads
- Beading thread
- Beading needles
- Hide lacing
- Silk embroidery thread
This program is limited to 15 participants.
