Join us as we explore a roadmap for reclaiming Metis identity through the eco-niche framework. This roadmap explores the connection of the Metis Nation and it’s families to place, to each other though our kinship networks and explores the levels of Indigenous identity.

We will discuss how Metis individuals can work through the complex process of reclaiming culture while exploring pan-aboriginalism, nationhood, and kinship systems.

This session invites Metis individuals, cultural educators, professionals who work with Indigenous peoples, teachers and community leaders to come and discuss the ideas of how we know who we are, why this matters, and how Indigenous people can recover the identities that have been stolen through colonization.
